Navon began his creative journey

as a 'serious' young poet,

imbued with adolescent passion and openness.

 

All the other inter-related enterprises

in his aesthetic and devotional multiverse

stem from this early love of language, imagery,

and his Romantic, and, later on,

his more purposefully Spiritual sensibility.

 

If you proceed to explore his work in any breadth

(in his poetry and in the 3 other worlds as well)

you will perceive that he writes,

illustrates, contemplates and sings

with the approach that poetry most thrives

when underpinned by Spirit;

while Spirit develops best

when accompanied by a strong sense

of the Poetic — where beauty and freedom

are either palpably visible in everything,

and/or mysteriously hidden in the One and All.

 

Thus Poetry is at the heart of Navon's 4 worlds,

even though it increasingly became less of his focus

in terms of authoring poetry per se,

as his horizons and cultivated fields expanded to include

Song,  Art and Kabbalah

(in that chronological and purposeful order).
