THE POETRY

As with his other creative endeavors

L P has explored diverse poetical fields

with imagination, originality, devotion and craft.

His poetic experiments show

a wide range of influences,

across cultures, times and continents,

and in a variety of styles, formats and stances.

Along with the lyrics of his extensive Song Catalogue,

and a plenitude of Hebrew epigrams

(presented in LPN's Katalytik Kabbalah),

Navon has authored hundreds of  poems

in free verse, haiku, and classic forms,

as well as in children's stories, plays, epics, etc.

His frolickings in visual media also

often demonstrate an adventurous incorporation

of word, ideogram and symbol —

in line with a poet's lyrical sensibility.

Marriages of text and image show up explicitly,

as selected haiku are paired with relevant photographs;

while Graphic Poems ('Groems!') combine playful conjoinings

of poetic phrases with visual arabesques,

humming, dancing....

Read, see, hear samples on the various subpages....
